There are three levels of packaging, namely - 

1. Primary Packaging: The one in contact with the object, such as a plastic wrapper

2. Secondary Packaging: The one housing the primary packaging, such as a cardboard box

3. Tertiary Packaging: The one supporting the secondary packaging, such as a pallet

While we observed that there are sustainable alternatives coming up in the market for the first two levels, no hardware innovation has been overtaken for the tertiary form of packaging i.e pallets.
